Genesis 35:1-2

And God said unto Jacob, Arise, go up to Bethel, and dwell there: and make there an altar unto God, that appeared unto thee when thou fleddest from the face of Esau thy brother. Then Jacob said unto his household, and to all that were with him, Put away the strange gods that are among you, and be clean, and change your garments:

A strong spiritual building or life begins with the word of God. One needs to fill themselves with the word by studying it until it becomes Rhema (revelation) in their lives.

Jacob on his way to Laban as a young man had an encounter at Bethel. In that place, he saw angels going up and down a stairway.

Bethel (“House of God”) is mentioned in the Bible as the site where Jacob slept and dreamed of angels going up and down a ladder (Genesis 28:19).

To go to the next level in your life, take away strange gods from amongst you and be clean. This is how you will see a turnaround in your household.

The next level demands righteousness. A complete turnaround. On this side of the cross righteousness is a gift. One must receive the gift and open it and use it.

Obedience is key for the next level. If you can’t obey you will not partake of the grace abundantly given. Take off the old man, put on the new. Be renewed in the spirit of your mind. Arise and build your spiritual life. God has done the majority, do the little by fully giving yourself to Him.

I pray for you today that you will find it in your heart to turn around and receive the righteousness freely given to you.

Declare this,

Lord help me to look up than down. To walk in righteousness and cast away old garments, and put on the new man who is acceptable to you.
