I wrote you a letter!

Long back in the Old Testament, the Prophets would see ahead but not everything. Several times they are referred to as seers. They would write some things under the guidance of the Holy Spirit even though their understanding of it was limited. This is not to blame them, the word tells us revelation is built upon revelation!

When Jesus Christ was born, many things that the prophets wrote started to come to light. The Holy Spirit continued to appoint writers until the book of Revelation.

Today we are holding this sacred book, giving direction, understanding of the world we are in and the one to come, how to live and walk in love and many more. The written word is the bedrock of the power of God. To experience His power, experience His word first! Do not wait for another man to interpret it, read it for yourself and the Holy Spirit will interpret it for you. Any another preacher should confirm what is already in the word.

Today I hear the Lord saying “I wrote you a letter.” Your part is to read the Bible and meditate on it! It is His love letter to you and in it He also shows you the way to walk. Give yourself a challenge to read and understand it. Never push it away. It’s not a novel but daily bread for your spirit man.

I pray for you that as you read the Bible today, the Holy Spirit will give you direction and understanding of the things that are and those to come.

I thank you Lord for the word. The Bible is above any prophesy a man can give and it keeps my mind focussed on things above. Anything that disagrees with what you put in it is not of you. Thank you for the grace to read my Bible daily.
