Light over darkness

From the Shepherd's Desk, Light has come by Charles Magaiza
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? (2 Corinthians 6:14-16 KJV)

Jesus remains a great example of how every believer must walk. As long as you call yourself a child of God, it goes beyond the declaration right into the way you handle things in life. Your obedience to the word of God for example is of great importance.

Apostle Paul tells us that as you walk in this world you should not be ‘unequally yoked with unbelievers.” This is important to understand. When you fellowship with unbelievers, what they do becomes what you do. It is your responsibility to vet those you walk with. Even the devil sometimes poses as an Angel of light.

Christ before the cross chose His inner circle carefully. He did not just follow fame nor those gifted people. He took those He knew He would train to be like Him and take up the mandate of bringing the gospel to the world that was lost.

Righteousness has no fellowship with unrighteousness and light will never mix with darkness. Light represents the kingdom of God, darkness represents the kingdom of the devil.

You must make a choice where you want to stand. It is only one life and it will soon be past. Only what is done for Christ will last! Are you ready to walk like Christ walked?

This Easter, take time to introspect on where you stand, who your company is and are you walking like Christ walked.
