And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 KJV)
In the hustles and bustles of life we are bound to meet many challenges. These vary in their intensity and duration. What is important is maintaining the link with the Father through Jesus Christ. To be able to communicate with him and find the grace to overcome these obstacles.
The apostle Paul was a man greatly used of God. In the process of pursuing his ministry work, he came face to face with a challenge. He was experiencing a limitation in his body, he calls it a thorn in the flesh, a messenger of satan, to buffet him and curb all pride in him. We are not privy to the nature of the situation but there are lessons for us here on how to deal with adversity and challenges.
Paul approached the Lord concerning this challenge three times. This shows us the value of consistency in prayer, he was not willing to give up! In those moments of adversity, stay on course in your prayer life. Don’t give up because of the mixed feelings the situation brings.
Paul was able to hear God’s voice. The Lord spoke to him and said, “My grace is sufficient for you.” When the grace of God is upon you, you experience victory even in difficult situations. His grace is sufficient in any kind of situation that you may face. It may be a delay in your goals and targets. It maybe a financial situation or a health situation, his grace is sufficient for you!
God’s strength is made perfect in your weakness! In that moment when you are feeling weak, look up to God to give you strength. There is nothing he cannot do. When you depend on him, you take advantage of his abundant strength which is never depleted.
Get ready for the perfection of God’s strength in you. Instead of despairing, strengthen your walk and relationship with him. You will be a witness of the abundant grace of God in this season.
I pray for you that strength may come to you in every area that you were weak. I petition the Lord for his abundant grace for your life today.
Declare this,
I declare that I am strong, strengthened by his power working in me. I take advantage of the abundant grace that he supplies me with. I am a victor through and through!
