The quest of Apostle Paul

From the Shepherd's Desk, Light has come by Charles Magaiza
Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision: (Acts 26:19 KJV)

Apostle Paul was originally Saul and was known to persecute , imprison and even kill believers of Jesus Christ. One day on his way to Damascus, He had an encounter! Jesus asked him why he was persecuting him! He simply answered, ‘who are you Lord.’ Jesus introduced Himself and from then Paul developed a quest in which he had the complete knowledge of who Jesus was.

Because he believed he faced much persecution. Those he once stood for wanted him dead. From place to place he preached the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Eventually the Jews managed to get him arrested and handed him over to the Romans with false accusations. His quest was to bring the gospel to many nations and to bring light and revelation where there was darkness.

He stood before king Agrippa and after being asked many questions in court, he told the king that he was and he would not be disobedient to the heavenly vision!

His heart was now Jesus’, his mind and intelligence and everything he owned! Everything else was nothing without Jesus. A quest will cause you to abandon all and give yourself to it. For Paul, any calamity did not matter as long as he fulfilled the vision!

I pray for you today that you never lose your quest for the gospel. Worship with sincerity and not for gain. Make it your quest to know the Lord and the power of His resurrection.

Declare this;

My quest is to follow him. To know Him deeper. To give my life over to Him and not lose focus on what is important, the word of God and His call on my life!
